1215 was the date King John had to sign the Magna Carta or "Great Charter". He was forced to join a meeting with nobles from the area, because they thought that he had too much power over them. The meeting was held in Runnymede. The result, or outcome, of the Magna Carta was that the KIng's power over noble's was limited. He had consult the noble's before making and other important things.
